This is the link to the Council’s STATEMENT OF COMMUNITY INVOLVMENT, this sets out its responsibilities for consultation with members of public.  These are minimum legal requirements.

Nearly 2,000 local residents responded to the LBWF Make Your Opinion Count Budget Conversation conducted between the 20 October and the 10 December 2010.

That is about one or two percent of the boroughs population how can they say that small percentage of people is represenitive of the whole boroughs views about 225,000 people or more.

One dept in the council said we consult people if there is no response then we get on and do what we have planned.

Most people say the council will get on and do what it wants anyway.Most people also say they dont want flats near them the only people that benerfit from them are landlords and goverment.Every flat is money to them.

When the public are sent information regarding consultations there are many stories that the information arrives too late or after the consultation. The envelopes they use to send out information are not date stamped in any way and are usually sent TNT post or delivered by hand with people wearing yellow hi vis vests and shoulder bags.
